I did a test meeting with my same host using the same meeting ID and password using the now-updated Zoom app and it worked. So, before your meetings, be sure to click Preferences | Check for Updates. Zoom's suggestion was that they don't want to be "intrusive" by notifying users that there is an update available. Called Zoom support after meeting (was 20 minutes late to meeting) and found out they pushed an invisible update yesterday! Then Zoom was telling me "password error!" Gave up and joined by browser (Chrome) with no issues. So, meeting host changed the meeting password. Had this problem today and tried everything. Using latest Zoom for Mac on latest macOS Catalina.Solution for me: Zoom pushed an invisible update yesterday with zero notification. I’m forgetting other steps, but the gist is, still getting the error. Submitted two tickets to Zoom Support, but still no reply. Tried the latest version of Zoom for iOS. Uninstalled and installed latest version of Zoom for Mac. Tried clicking the zoom link instead of typing it in. I have the correct ID because they haven’t changed it and I have been able to use that meeting ID with success up until a week ago. Confirmed with administrator that they haven’t changed the meeting ID. The 10-digit number is used for Personal Meeting IDs. The 11-digit number is used for instant, scheduled or recurring meetings. The meeting ID can be a 10 or 11-digit number. Confirmed that it’s right, but still getting that error. If you work at Zoom or know of a workaround, please let me know. Anyone else encounter this error? It’s been keeping me out of work meetings for a week now, and we can’t get anyone at Zoom to look into this because of covid / free / paid conditions.
